Windsurfing: Felixstowe Fludyers Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: 15-25 Surf / Sea State: rough bumpy Air Temperature: cold Sea Temperature: cold Weather: poor Max Speed: 24.7 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 3 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Arrive late afternoon and 3 out, Phil, Maker, Chris, on 4.7 - Tom A rigging
small. It was windy cross off and very bumpy sea and was cold.
Rigged 6.0 Hellcat / Mistral Synchro but was over powered on the gusts on
the outside. Fell almost every gybe. Swells were OK coming in but going out
was too bumpy for me. Had to let go a couple of times as lost grip in the
cold. I dont like the Fludge' much.
Others were going well, but I only had a fews runs and never really handled
the bumps and was out of my comfort zone.
Didn't try too hard for the speed run of 24.7kts, as sea too rough. OK for
a run out. We had Spring showers / lightening, Summer Sun then
Autumn/winter hail stones back to Spring / Summer sun all in the couple of
hours. Amazing. The wind died then swung off as we packed up, then 30 mins
later came back round with sun, sods law! Hey Maker as u blamed me for
killing the wind I drowned my sorrows with Cod and Chips (more like a whale
battered!) then Sauna and steam...hope wifey cooked u something :)
